Crisp VP of Data Science Henrique Moyses debuts Crisp AI Blueprints at NRF

Henrique Moyses, Crisp’s VP of Data Science, attended NRF 2025, where he explored retail’s evolving technological landscape and introduced Crisp’s AI Blueprints in partnership with Databricks.

When Henrique graduated with a PhD in physics from New York University in 2016, an interest in the developing data science and machine learning field landed him an analyst role at Anheuser-Busch, where he grew an eight-year career, rising through the ranks to become the company's VP of Data and Analytics. At AB, Henrique maneuvered in lockstep with data innovation trends, and he played a pivotal role in shaping advanced analytics strategies, focusing on data-driven decision-making in sales, revenue management, and logistics. Data transformation has been a major running initiative for CPGs over the last decade, especially in regard to breaking through siloed processes and legacy systems. Henrique contributed to creating a seamless and reliable internal source-of-data-truth for AB and its teams. Now at Crisp, a leading retail data platform, Henrique's focus is on empowering CPGs to achieve the same level of data-driven excellence, fueled by clean, actionable retail data that is structured to provide the ideal basis for data science applications and AI.

Breaking data silos and embracing AI-driven insights isn’t just an advantage—it’s essential for staying ahead in today’s retail landscape.

Henrique’s new role at Crisp brought him to NRF in January along with Crisp CEO Are Traasdahl and VP of Sales Heather Martin. The event highlighted AI and its evolution from theoretical discussions to tangible business applications for retailers, such as supply chain optimization, demand forecasting, and personalization strategies. Henrique noted that the industry has shifted from experimenting with AI to integrating it at scale, also underscoring how AI is becoming essential for competitive differentiation, especially in retail where brands must compete to deliver on heightening sales and supply chain expectations.

Crisp was invited to demonstrate its latest AI applications at the Databricks booth. The conversations focused on moving AI beyond experimentation and into real-world execution, where businesses can manage machine learning models that are both reliable and adaptable. This provided the perfect setting for Henrique to present Crisp’s recently-launched AI Blueprints – a growing collection of open-source, customizable data science templates designed to help CPGs accelerate their AI adoption without the heavy lift of building solutions from scratch. Henrique demonstrated how AI Blueprints streamline processes like anomaly detection, weather analysis, and intelligent store clustering, all powered by the clean, structured retail data that Crisp powers.
